President Tsai Ing-wen thankful for the lifting of the Travel Restrictions
February 14, 2019 - President Tsai Ing-wen shares her gratitude to all the people who spoke up for Taiwan during the implementation of the travel ban in Taiwan.
In a post by News5, the News & Media Website quoted the President of Taiwan saying "I want to thank all of our friends in the Philippines who spoke up for Taiwan. The Philippines is one of Taiwan's closest neighbors, and we will continue working to foster closer bilateral relations."
Travel Restrictions have been imposed on Taiwan by the Philippines to prevent the outbreak of the COVID-19.
As of now, there had been a total of 18 reported Cases of Covid-19 in Taiwan.
Taiwan affirms the public that they are in control of the current situation and that they are doing all preventive measures to avoid the widespread of the COVID-19 in the country.
