Four Taiwan companies were included in the Derwent top 100 innovators of the world. The list is made by Clarivate Analytics. It is a company based in Philadelphia and London. It creates insights and analytical information to help increase the pace of innovation in the world.

The list includes four companies based in Taiwan namely the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), HTC, Quanta Computer Incorporated, and Foxconn Technology Group (the biggest provider of electronics production services in the world).
The four Taiwanese companies’ inclusion in the list together with four Germany-based companies had allowed it to surpass countries such as France, Japan, and the United States of America.

According to Nathan Fan, a manager of the Clavirate Analytics-China and Taiwan markets, Taiwan’s outstanding research and development had allowed the country to take a place in the list.
The IRTI had been chosen for three consecutive years for its excellent performance and its increasing number of patented technology.

Additionally, Foxconn and Quanta are continuing its success through their plans for allowing their patented technologies to reach global markets.

HTC had also been performing extraordinarily in patent sequence searching. It was the company’s first time being part of the list. Its success in internationalization had earned the company a spot in the top 100 global innovators list.
